This term, Year 10 have been studying natural forms and Leonardo da Vinci’s botanical drawings. For their homework, they were asked to produce a booklet based on artists, designers, crafts people they liked who had been inspired by Natural forms. Theo has based his work on Architects who look to nature for inspiration in their buildings, especially in the current development in Saudi Arabia, where one of the tallest buildings in the world has been inspired by plant structures in the desert. Isabelle Bevington has based hers on a few really unusual designers and artists. Andy Goldsworthy, to name one, creates his Artwork by using the environment he is in to create natural-form sculptures.
Well done, Year 10.
