We recently hosted our very first Careers Fair at Stanley High School. In collaboration with our Careers Partner, Elevate, we welcomed over 20 visitors from various industries, including the Armed Forces, Local Government, Universities, and Post-16 providers. The event was attended by Year 9 and Year 11 students, who engaged enthusiastically with all the representatives. Below is some feedback from one of the employers that highlights how proud we are of our students:
“I wanted to say that I attended your career event organized by Elevate this week. The event was fantastic—one of the best I have attended. The young people are a credit to the school. I particularly want to commend the manners of the students I spoke to. I attended to raise the profile of a career in Early Years, and I was extremely impressed by the questions and interactions from the students.”
“There was significant interest in working in this sector. I recognize that working with young children is not for everyone, but every student I spoke with demonstrated real respect and interest in the subject matter.”
We look forward to making this an annual event in our Careers Program to prepare all our students for life after Stanley.
