Year 10 College Taster Days
This week Year 10 took the first steps to finding out about life after Stanley, where they were provided with information about the upcoming taster days at Southport, KGV and Runshaw College. We had a visit from Southport College and KGV, and a virtual meeting with Runshaw where our students were provided with information about what the taster days consist of and there were given an insight about the potential courses they can experience on each of the days. Students will receive letters in the upcoming weeks about these visits. Parents/Carers will be required to provide consent for the students to attend each of the college days. College trip dates are as follows:
Southport College – 21st June KGV – 26th June Runshaw – 4th July
Our students may already have ideas about what they want to study after Stanley, but these visits will enable our students to see what other options are available to them for future studies. It would be great to see as many students attend each of these visits so that we, as a school, have given them the best support in guiding them towards their next steps.
