The school has an exciting new service which is now available to ensure communication between the school and parents/carers is easier and more effective.

Xpressions is a new service created by the award-winning school communication company, Groupcall Limited. The App is completely free of charge to you and can be installed on your mobile phone or tablet. It is currently supported by both Apple iOS and Android devices (with Windows mobile to follow) and you’ll be able to see information about your child/children.

Once installed and set up you will be able to see the following information:
• Attendance records and absences
• Assessment records
• Achievement records
• Behaviour events
• Timetable
• School calendar

Please ensure that we have your correct mobile number and email address on our school database, in order to ensure that you can use the new app as soon as it is available. Forms are available from the school office to check and update your details, or simply email them to the school. You will need to make sure that you keep these details up to date in the future to maintain access to the service.

If you have not already done so, download the app on any device(s) on which you wish to access your child/children’s school information and enter your email address and/or password/mobile number to login.

Google PlayApps store

If you are visiting this page on a computer the above links will try to open Google Play or the Apple App Store in your internet browser. To install the App on your smartphone or tablet simply open Google Play or the App Store on your device and search for “Xpressions”; you can then install the App directly.

Account registration

When you are ready to set up your Xpressions login make sure that the mobile phone number that you have recorded at the school is switched on.

1. If you have not already done so, install The Xpressions App.

2. When you have installed the App, open it and enter your email address then click ‘Next’.

3. Enter your mobile number and click ‘Next’.
If your details do not match the school records you will see the text ‘incorrect answer’ in red below the box. Correct and click Continue.

All personal details will be taken from the school records, so the information you provide needs to match what the school has on file. If you are unable to enter details successfully you will need to speak to the school office. If you are sure you have entered information correctly but you still see an error message, it is likely that the school records are incorrect, so please contact the school.

When you have entered your details correctly you will receive a text message to your mobile phone containing a 6 digit code.

4. Enter this code on screen.

5. Press ‘Login’.
If you do not receive a code, use the ‘Resend Code’ function. However there can be delays due to mobile phone providers and other factors outside of the control of The Xpressions App and the school, so please wait for at least 5 minutes and ensure you are in an area with mobile phone coverage.

When you have successfully entered your email address, mobile number and the code you were sent by SMS, you will be asked if you’d like to set a password;

6. Set Password
It is possible to use the Xpressions App without setting a password – you can simply use your mobile phone number in conjunction with your email address instead of a password. You will have to enter a code sent to your mobile number each time you log in to the App so you may find a password quicker.

When you have successfully entered your email address, mobile number and the code you were sent by SMS, you will be asked if you’d like to set a password.

We recommend that you setup a strong password containing at least one character from each of the following groups:

  • Lower case alphabet.
  • Upper case alphabet.
  • Numbers.
  • Special characters – !@#$%^& ?_~<>{}[]().

Re-enter the same password to confirm your choice.
You will see an error message if the passwords do not match exactly. Simply try entering the password of your choice again taking extra care to enter  the same each time.

Press ‘Next’.

Alternatively you may select ‘Skip’ if you’d rather not add a password to your account.

7. Protecting data
Whilst having convenient access to your child’s data on your mobile device has many benefits, the portability and small size of many devices can make them easy to lose and also an easy target for thieves. We recommend that you take some simple steps to protect your device.

The Groupcall Xpressions App can be secured with a PIN code that is independent of any codes set on the device. We recommend you set one when you login to Xpressions initially. This can also be done by clicking the padlock icon in the upper left corner of the App home screen entering a 4 digit passcode.

Apple and Google both provide services that are designed to either help you find a lost device or remotely erase it should it be lost irretrievably. There are also third party solutions available. More information is available by searching the internet for “lost smartphone” etc.

  • Apple’s ‘find my iPhone’ service is built in to every Apple device that supports the Xpressions App – you can find out about it here along with information on how to enable and activate it should you lose your device.
  • Google’s ‘Android Device Manager’ is available on the majority of devices that support Xpressions – you can find out about it here along with information on how to enable and activate it should you lose your device.

If a device has already been lost…
You should change your Xpressions password.

The link above will take you straight to the login page where you can change your password.

You should make use of any Apple or Android service with which you are registered, that can locate or erase the data held on your device.

Login to the Apple service here using your iCloud/iTunes username and password.

Login to the Google service here using your Google username and password.

If you are unable to do the above and you are still concerned about the data on a lost device, you can speak to the school who can disable your account. This can take some time to become effective on the lost device and so should only be used as a last resort. It also has the disadvantage of requiring you to re-register for a new account once you find or replace the lost device.
