There will also be a prize for the best spotty uniform customisation.

Year 8 Spanish students have been learning about the Mexican ‘Día de la Muertos’ (Day of the Dead) festival, in which Mexicans remember and honour their deceased loved ones. Students watched a video describing the reasons for the celebration and learnt about the way in which people of different ages contribute to the colourful, family oriented event.
Two students, in particular, showed real dedication to their Spanish studies. Callum Blackmore brought in a photograph showing an ‘altar’ set up with photographs and personal items, used by the family to remember relatives who have passed away.
Alex Bond-Townsend kindly baked and decorated his own delicious biscuits, representing the colourful skulls seen at the Day of the Dead celebrations; they were delicious! Well done for your efforts!
8Y3 Technology created some Halloween treats on Tuesday this week. Some of the outcomes looked very scary as well as tasty! Well done for being so creative Year 8!
We have a target of 95% attendance and work hard every day to beat this. The whole school attendance for week ending 19th October was 93.8%.
