I was delighted to welcome our prospective Year 6 and Year 5 students to our open evening on Monday. The students who helped on the night were fantastic role models and the staff ensured there were plenty of fun and engaging activities to showcase what a fantastic school this is.
The evening was incredibly busy and I would invite all prospective parents to come and view our calm and purposeful school community during the school day. The available tour dates are as below, but if you would like to visit and are unable to attend on these dates, please contact the office to arrange a convenient time.
25th September at 9.15am, 26th September at 1.15pm and 4th October at 1.15pm.
Cycling to school
To ensure the safety of all of our students who travel to school on bikes, they must dismount on Fleetwood Road and walk with their bikes to the bike shed. Students have been very sensible recently in crossing the main roads, and I would encourage them to continue to be mindful of the busy roads during the start and end of the school day. Please also ensure your child wears the correct safety equipment.

Mrs McAllister was extremely impressed with her Year 9 GCSE group’s first homework which was based on their landscape project. The homework was to create a pen drawing of a chosen landscape and their outstanding effort was a joy to see.
Mrs Ward’s creative work of the week has been awarded to Oliwia Rutkowska in Year 9. Oliwia is studying GCSE Art this year and is starting to develop her own style using ideas from Manga Art and her electronic tablet to help her produce these amazing characters.
Well done Oliwia, keep up the hard work.
