On Saturday 12th November, 28 students took part in the Chance2Dance festival, held at the Blackpool Opera House. We are still the only high school to take part in the festival; all other schools are external performing arts academies from all over the UK.

At the start of the day, students were treated to a performance by Britain’s Got Talent finalists ‘Addict Dance Academy’ who have also invited us to Leicester to attend a workshop day at their post 16 training academy.

Students from Year 7, 8, 9 & 10 all danced in our ‘Cirque Du Freak’ routine and a number of students also took part in our second routine ‘Where Have All The Children Gone.’

All students danced impeccably and were outstanding representatives for our school. Well done to everyone who took part and a huge thank you to Miss Cregg and Mrs Urquhart who gave up their Saturday to accompany them, support them and champion them, you are all a credit to the school.
