Headteacher’s update

Welcome back to the new term and I hope that you all had an enjoyable break.

We will be holding a number of important events for Year 11 students next week, in particular the Year 11 Parent/Carer Evening on Thursday, details below. We will also be giving students the results of their recent Mock Examinations on Monday and they will be having Mock interviews on Tuesday and Runshaw College interviews on Wednesday.

This is a very important time for Year 11 as we work toward the GCSE Examinations in May and should you need to discuss any aspect of your child’s education and this applies to all years, please do not hesitate to contact the school office and ask for your child’s Form Tutor or Year Leader.

Year 8 students will be also be choosing their Options for study in Year 9 this half term. This will commence during a fortnight of assemblies where staff will demonstrate to students what their subject will entail. There will be the Options Evening on Thursday 7th February followed by Year 8 followed by a Parent/Carer evening on Thursday 14th February.

As you will know, we are currently having an issue with our telephone system, which we are working hard to resolve. We thank you for your patience during this time, please contact us via email if you are struggling to get through on the phone. enquiries@stanleyhigh.co.uk.
