On the evening of Thursday 22nd June, the glitz and glamour of Hollywood arrived at the Ramada hotel in Southport. The Stanley High School Prom took place from 6.30 p.m. and all of Year 11 were dressed up to the nines in order to celebrate the end of their five years at the school.
All guests walked the red carpet and were snapped by the local press photographer before going up to the Marine Suite where the evening’s festivities were taking place. Students were greeted with a glass of fruit punch before exploring their seating arrangements for the evening and the vast outdoor terrace overlooking Marine Lake.
Students enjoyed a 3 course meal alongside the staff who had come to celebrate with them. Speeches were given by Mr Moore, Beau Patten and Jessica Andrew (the outgoing Head boy and girl) and Mrs Rae received a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Later on the dancefloor filled to the sounds of modern and more classic hits.
Everyone who attended had a wonderful time and it was a fantastic way to see our Year 11 students off in style!
