Macmillan Coffee Morning
Today we held a Macmillan coffee morning in the school hall and we were delighted to welcome a fantastic number of parents/carers and grandparents as well as some of our local residents to join us for refreshments between 10am and 12noon. We also held a cake sale in the Gymnasium for students to donate or purchase their own cakes and we held a staff bake sale competition in the staffroom. The overall winners were Mrs Coggins and Mrs Abram but a thank you must go to all staff who made the effort to bake a cake and we look forward to seeing bigger and better next year.
The atmosphere was great in all three areas and the students who helped to serve refreshments were a great representation of the school and the ethos we are striving for. There were musical contributions from Padasht, Joe and Thomas and a huge thanks to all the staff who helped out on the day, with particular thanks to the ‘bakers’ who baked in Room 37 last night and to Sandra and her team in the canteen for their fantastic contribution. Miss Foy baked a fantastic unicorn cake which was raffled off and the lucky winner was fortunate enough to take the cake home with her.
We have raised a fantastic amount of money for a great cause and we look forward to next year!
