Extra-curricular Activities

The school offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities, some exam focused, whilst others offer personal development opportunities.

Duke of Edinburgh Award
Year 10 and 11 DoE sessions will take place on Fridays in Room 44 from 3-4pm weekly. Year 9 students will have an Assembly after October half term where they will have the opportunity to enrol for the Bronze Award in November. Any questions can be discussed with Mr Hooton who is the DoE co-ordinator at school.

Year 7 Nurture Group
Come along and take part in a variety of activities and learn new skills with Mrs Regan.

Board Games
Year 7 students Board Games club in Room 41, Tuesdays from 12.30-12.55pm.

Drama
GCSE drop-in/intervention is on Monday from 3-4pm in R33 and Drama Club is on Wednesday in Room 33 for any student who would like to come along, from 3-4pm.

Geography
Drop in sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 3-4pm.

History
Drop in sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 3-4pm.

Mathematics
Maths drop-in and homework support are on Tuesday after school from 3-4pm in Room 5.

Music
Music club is on Wednesday lunchtimes.

PE
Badminton, Handball, Volleyball, Rugby, Football, Netball, Dance and Circus Skills sessions are held in the Gym, Sports Hall and on the 3G pitch during break time, lunchtime or after school.

Dance
Dance sessions take place in the Gym after school every Wednesday and Friday.

RE
Homework help Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 3-4pm.

Reading Club
Year 7 and 8 Reading Club is open every Thursday lunchtime.

Science
Year 7 Science Club with Mr Roberts and Year 11 Scientists in Room 22, both on Tuesdays from 12.30-12.55pm.

Technology
Tech Tuesday – All GCSE Catering, Graphics and Resistant Materials students are able to catch up with their Technology subjects on Tuesdays at 3-4pm in Rooms 44, 45 and 46. Coursework, model making, sketching, practical, help and advice.

Wheelie Wednesday
Every Wednesday in Room 46 from 3-4pm, for general bike and kit maintenance. Brakes, cleaning your bike, lube your chain, how to fix a puncture, help and advice.

Please note that these are always subject to change depending on staff commitments ie revision session during exam seasons and sporting fixtures that require staffing etc.
