Headteacher’s update

Good afternoon Stanley Families

Well, it certainly has been a broken week due to industrial action, however we have managed to pack so much into these days too, this week we have had over 300 students out on Trips and visits, a charity run between the Trust schools for #kNOwknifecrime, Year 10 continued their English speaking assessments and language speaking tests, their final college visits and today I have had the absolute pleasure of interviewing a number of Year 10 students who applied to be on the Junior Leadership Team from September 2023, interviews will continue on Monday because we had so many applicants.

This week we welcomed Inspector Birkett into school to discuss how we continue to grow our links and partnerships with Merseyside Police and our Safer Schools Police Officers. We have also been accepted on the INTENT program, working with 40 schools across Cheshire and Merseyside who are working on smoking and vaping prevention education. In fact, we have several exciting new ideas and projects that will run in the next academic year – I am already excited about the next year starting in September!

We still have lots to look forward to over the next week and a half and we still have lots of great learning experiences to deliver to your children.
