Good Afternoon Stanley Families

Happy New Year – firstly let me wish you all good health and happiness for the new year.

It has been a pleasure to be back open this week, your children have settled back in well, working hard and meeting high expectations.

I’m sure everyone appreciates a short week. Especially a number of our teens who tend to turn nocturnal during longer breaks.

During this shorter half term we have many exciting things to look forward to just to mention a few, we have Year 11 Interview day and Mock results day as part of our Steps after Stanley week, Year 9 options week, Year 11 and Year 9 consultation evening, a trip to Poland and much much more.

We have picked up a few fall outs and nastiness over social media and messaging platforms over the holidays. Please be vigilant with what your child may be sending but also anything they may be receiving. Responsible communication is something we visit on a regular basis through personal development, form time, assemblies and in appropriate curriculum time.

A New Year can often bring new and exciting challenges and celebration. I would like to invite as many of you as possible to support our school improvement and celebrate our staff and achievements by completing the survey that you can access via the link below.
