Headteacher’s update
Good afternoon Stanley Families
Happy Friday. We have absolutely hit the ground running and your children have returned so settled and eager to learn. It is an absolute pleasure to see them back after a break from school.
4 day weeks must seem to be a pattern for school recently. I fully understand and appreciate the challenges and logistical nightmare this can be to keep up with and plan for, so I do appreciate your support and patience.
This week we have recruited for 3 teaching posts which begin from September 2023.
I am committed to ensuring your children have amazing adults in front of them and inspiring them daily. Our recruitment journey continues over the next few weeks. Please look out for any of our vacancies for yourselves or your networks.
Thank you to all of our Year 9 families who have worked closely with their children, making informed option choices and submitting forms.
Year 11 have been an absolute credit throughout their mock examinations. They have shown a real commitment to after school revision and deserve their hot chocolate reward for attending 5 sessions.
Our Year 10 students move into a mock examination period next week. When discussing mock examinations with your children, can you please discuss the importance of them adhering to rules regarding mobile phones and watches. When our hall and break out rooms become examination spaces students could impact their examination success should they not meet the rules set by the examination board.
I hope you have had a lovely week and have a great weekend.
